  1. Much more power: You can get more than twice the electricity of most other turbines. SkyWolf keeps operating in high winds, when others have to shut down. It also begins generating power even in low winds, before many others can start.
  2. Much more efficiency: You get much more of the power that is in the wind.   3. Gusts and high winds: No need to furl or brake in high or gusty wind conditions, due to SkyWolf’s unique self-regulating design. Short blades mean no barotrauma – internal hemorrhaging of a bat’s lungs caused by the quick pressure changes near the fast-moving tips of the long blades of the large conventional 3-blade turbines.
  8. No Visual Pollution: Small size and low mounting height and attractive appearance mean that it does not dominate the view or its surroundings.
  9. Point of consumption: SkyWolf can be located right where the electricity is needed wherever there is good wind, next to your building or on its roof. No need to wait years for huge new regional or national grids to be constructed at great expense.
  10. Satisfies Environmental Concerns: Environmental and special interest groups often oppose conventional wind mills because of their many drawbacks. SkyWolf does not cause these concerns.
  11. Easy, Economical Installation: Small size and low mounting height mean that normal contractors with a minimum of equipment can install SkyWolf inexpensively.
  12. Small footprint: SkyWolf can be installed on many suburban lots -- it just needs space for its 12”-diameter pole and concrete base. Other small windmills may need a full acre, for guy wires for their expensive tall tower (80-150’).
  13. Safety – No Blade Throw: No danger of blade throw, because SkyWolf’s blades are short, inside a housing, and the blade tip speed is low. Blade length of 2’ – 15’ results in far less material stress than the traditional wind turbine, and the housing prevents a defective blade from being thrown. For instance, the world's largest wind turbine now in operation is the Enercon E-126, with a rotor blade weighing 20 tons and 413 feet long – a football field is 300 feet long. Other large turbines have thrown blades with such force that they land up to a quarter-mile away.
  14. Safety – No Ice Throw: Housed rotor blades eliminate ice throw concerns. The blades are recessed into the housing so they have no significant icing; and if they ever did, the housing prevents the ice from being thrown.
  15. Safety – No Fires: SkyWolf does not have a gearbox, so there is no risk of an overheating gearbox causing a fire. The generator itself is on the same shaft as the blades, constantly being cooled by the turbine’s airstream, which contributes to the generator’s long life. The harder the generator works, the stronger the cooling breeze.
  16. Safety – No Structural Failure: Structural stress is minimal, because mounting poles are so short (30-40’) and the 12” diameter pipe is extremely strong.
  17. Safety – No Aircraft Radar Interference: The movement of the large blades of traditional wind turbines can interfere with radar. If the long blades reflect a false positive or partially obscure the plane, the aircraft may appear to be in a different location, or to jitter on the radar screen. If the plane is in the radar shadow of the spinning blades, the plane may not be seen at all. SkyWolf’s blades are not large enough to cause this effect, and are also shielded by the housing.
  18. No Shadow Flicker: Traditional large blades can alternately catch the sun or cast a shadow up to about a quarter of a mile, resulting in a flicker like continually turning the lights on and off. This annoys people and drives wildlife away. SkyWolf’s short blades, recessed in their housing, do not do this.
  19. Protection from the Elements: The housing protects the blades and other components from moisture and UV rays, leading to long life.
  20. Mounting Height: No need for giant towers. SkyWolf is often mounted on “flagpole-height” poles 30-40 feet high. Can also be mounted on a somewhat taller pole, still without guy wires. If you have the budget and the space for a guyed tower of 80-150 feet, SkyWolf will generate even more power, but it will beat most other systems even on its short tower when properly sited.
  21. Maintenance: Very little maintenance, and it’s cheaper and easier because SkyWolf is close to the ground. Does not require a steeplejack or expensive specialized equipment.
  22. Local Government approval: Since the height is usually 30-40’, SkyWolf is eligible for the “flagpole rule” zoning exemption or instant zoning approval. No noise concerns with neighbors – much quieter than an air conditioner. The mounting pole is not guyed, so it will fit even on small lots.
  23. No Vibration: Nearly zero vibration with its direct drive and no gearbox. Can be mounted on some commercial roofs.
  24. Mounting Type: Usually on a 30-40’ pole, but can be mounted on a roof. Properly-sited strong flat roofs can even support a mini-wind farm, or “Wolf Pack”, of many units, to meet the needs of a large commercial building.
